Grandmother's
Search for the Truth Exposes For Immediate Release - MGA Films, Inc. August 28, 2002 She has appeared on everything from 60 minutes to Good Morning
America to the Today Show. She's done a CNN special and
been on the BBC, Geraldo, Extra, Court TV, and Americas Most
Wanted. She has even appeared on French and German TV,
The London Independent has written about her, and so has The
Los Angeles Times. But this is not a Hollywood actress,
after the deaths of both her grandchildren in the Oklahoma City
bombing, Kathy Graham Wilburn dedicated the past 6 years of her
life to research domestic terrorist organizations in the U.S.
to help educate others of ongoing threats, while seeking
her own peace through understanding the hearts and minds
of her enemies. In the course of her research, Wilburn collaborated with MGA Films of Fort Collins, Colorado, to produce a feature length documentary entitled Terror From Within. The film is having its L.A. premiere at the Laemmales Monica theater September 13th-19th in Santa Monica in conjunction with the IDAs International Documentary Showcase qualifying the film for Academy Award consideration. Amongst her extensive research, the documentary unturned a plot to destroy the Murrah Federal building 12 years earlier before Timothy James McVeigh set his sites on the same building on April 19, 1995 and killed 168 people. This has opened the door for much speculation of whether there was a larger plot behind the Oklahoma bombing than only McVeigh and co-conspirator Terry Nichols. The documentary also took her places most other victims relatives would not go. She dropped in on remote paramilitary training compounds, and attended some of their anti-government rallies incorporated into worship services. "Ill never forget what the Pastor of the Aryan Nations in Idaho told me during my interview with him," Wilburn said. "He said that one mans terrorist is another mans freedom fighter. I felt sick when I heard that, but I was willing to dance with the devil to find the truth. Our documentary illustrates a much bigger picture of the event that most Americans have never seen." Wilbruns journey has also prepared her to help others cope with the tragic losses in recent events. She traveled to New York shortly after 9/11 to visit Ground Zero and reached out to the community while sharing a bond only understand by other victims families. "The world is ever changing, and we never know for sure what is ahead. But if you give yourself time, you can eventually overcome the storms of life and the healing process can begin" Wilburn said. Please call us to schedule an interview with Ms. Wilburn while she is in Los Angeles or to obtain an advance copy of Terror From Within. |
